On a cloudy morning, I noticed several common houseflies buzzing around the slides in a children’s playground. The bright yellow and green of the largest slide immediately struck me as a striking backdrop for a close-up, and I began envisioning an image that combined the tiny insect with this bold setting. Over the following days, I returned to the park repeatedly, waiting for the right moment. Eventually, after many attempts, a housefly landed just outside my intended spot and then slowly walked into the frame. That was the moment I finally captured the image I had been waiting for — a housefly against a vibrant, playful background.
